K.L. Schroeder is a Swedish-Canadian speculative fiction writer, microbiologist, and aging goth.
Their first novella, No One to Hold the Distant Dead (Psychopomp) was released in November 2025, and their short
fiction appears in the Northern Nights horror anthology (Undertow Press) and the And Lately, the Sun climate fiction anthology (Calyx).
They are a member of the Stockholm Writers' Group, the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association (CSFFA),
and can also be found hanging out in the Edinburgh Science Fiction & Fantasy (ESFF) group or doing circus acrobatics.
